Lost in Lace

I recently visited the Lost in Lace exhibition at the Musuem and Art gallery in Birmingham

The patterns, textures and shapes of the works at this exhibition is very inspirational to me.



 This work (above) is a display where viewers can thread a piece of string around the hooks.
It is really interesting and colouful.

 I really like the texture of this piece when you look through it.
 


 This piece is probably one the best works in the gallery, the use of lace to 
create a doorway is really creative and eye catching.

 









 This piece really attracted me because of how the gowns are situated
and the string trapping the gowns in.

I thought this was quite different.

Centrepiece Exhibition

I recently visited the Centrepiece exhibition at Symphony hall in Birmingham
It featured pieces by contemporary jewellers based in Birmingham
